By the end of 2021, the new alltours company headquarters will be located directly on the banks of the Rhine on the Mannesmannufer. “I'm really looking forward to our spacious new building,” explains alltours owner Willi Verhuven on the occasion of the presentation of the construction plans. The latest architectural and structural knowledge has been incorporated into the planning. In addition, the eight-storey building with its 12,500 square meters of office space offers enough space for the further expansion of the Düsseldorf tour operator. Up to 630 employees can work here in bright, light-flooded offices. Employees can relax on the top floor, where, in addition to the staff restaurant with an outdoor terrace, there is a modern fitness area, a chill-out area and a studio for sports and health facilities. Willi Verhuven: “The building complex corresponds to our idea of ​​generous work. It also reflects our value-based and at the same time future-oriented corporate culture. ”In addition to being used as an office and administrative seat, the three-building complex will house owner-occupied and age-appropriate apartments as well as a care facility.

With its architecturally high-quality appearance, the new head office of alltours fits perfectly into the representative environment on the Mannesmannufer. Entering the building through the main entrance on Berger Allee opens up an impressive view of the Rhine.

This is made possible by the two-part building structure. The two wings of the building are connected by an atrium that extends over all floors to the glass roof. The atrium with reception area, training center and integrated travel agency can also be used as an event center and communication room.

A company-owned kindergarten is planned for childcare. There will also be a playground in the green courtyard.

An important part of planning is a mobility concept. So alltours has started to convert its fleet entirely to environmentally friendly e-cars and hybrid vehicles. The concept also includes a car and bike sharing offer as well as bicycle parking spaces.

Living and living on the Rhine

The high-quality condominiums are located on the Mannesmannufer, the age-appropriate apartments and the care facility on Berger Allee with a view of the Speeˈschen Graben with park, Swan Lake and Kaiserteich.

Upgrading the residential area

The new building is in an exposed location in the vicinity of the listed Mannesmann high-rise. "With our new building, the residential area is experiencing a significant revaluation," says Willi Verhuven. To do this, the previous buildings on the approximately 3,200 square meter site must give way. The gutting of the old building, which has been empty since 2012, begins in November; The actual demolition of the building is planned from January to March 2020. Subsequently, civil engineering starts and the shell construction is to begin in July 2020. Completion is scheduled for late 2021.

The planning arose from a competition from well-known architecture firms. HPP Architects GmbH from Düsseldorf won a prize here. The HPP design has been extensively revised according to the requirements of alltours.

The total investment for the entire construction project is around 90 million euros.
