MATERIALS:
Canvas: 16x20 stretched primed canvas
Brushes: 1/2 flat bristle (large), #8 round (medium), #2 round (small)
Acrylic Paint: titanium white, deep yellow, purple violet, fire red, burnt umber (brown), green oxide, mars black
Other: #2 pencil, palette, cup of water for washing brushes, paper towel for drying brushes

STEPS:
1. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the wall with white, yellow and brown
2. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint the floor with brown and tan
3. #2 pencil - Draw outline for box
4. #8 round brush - Paint inside of box with black
5. #8 round brush - Paint 1st layer of box exterior with white, purple and black
6. 1/2 inch bristle brush - Paint Christmas tree with black and green
7. #2 round brush - Paint 1st layer of Grinch head with green
8. #2 round brush - Paint base coat for arm with black
9. #2 round brush - Paint 1st layer of main ornament with red and black
10. #8 round brush - Paint 1st layer of hair and hand with green
11. #8 round brush - Paint shadow under box with brown and black
12. #8 round brush - Paint 1st layer of ribbons with dark purple
13. #8 round brush - Paint shirt with red, white and black
14. #8 round brush - Paint 2nd layer on face, hair and hand with green, yellow and white
15. #8 round brush - Finish box and ribbons with purple, black and white
16. #2 round brush - Finish main ornament with red, yellow, black and white
17. #2 round brush - Finish Grinch with yellow, white, black, brown and green
18. #8 round brush - Paint ornaments on tree with red, yellow, purple and white
19. #2 round brush - sign with red
