How to shop BETTER for your capsule wardrobe. Buy clothes you actually like

I want getting dressed in the morning to be easy, enjoyable, hassle-free and fun. But shopping for new clothes had never been an easy process for me. I get overwhelmed easily in stores and online, so I tend to settle for clothes I just “like”. As a result, I was in a constant cycle of shopping and decluttering. To stop that cycle I have tried to create a capsule wardrobe. But what ended up happening was that I was left with a bunch of timeless neutral pieces that went together nicely, but I still didn’t like the clothes. So lately, I have been experimenting with an entirely different way of shopping. A way of shopping that allows me to figure out exactly what type of clothes I want. I still believe that having a capsule wardrobe makes getting dressed in the morning easier, but I want to encourage you to go a step further. This new way of shopping happens in three phases.

I love figuring out my personal style and I know the confidence boost a great outfit can give me, but shopping for new clothes had never been an easy process for me. Shopping in stores can give me quite a lot of anxiety. But I don’t want my love for personal styling to go away so I was determined to figure out a new way of shopping and build better shopping habits that are enjoyable, anxiety-free, intentional and more sustainable.
