College Mental Health

College brings stress. Students are forced to juggle a mammoth amount of schoolwork, exams, social expectations and must also navigate the responsibilities that come with living on their own.
Campuses across the country are reporting more serious statistics of student stress.

According to a 2016 study conducted by the American College Health Association looking at undergraduate students across 137 different schools, 86 percent of students reported feeling “overwhelmed” by all they had to do, while 59 percent reported feeling overwhelming anxiety. Nearly 38 percent reported feeling “so depressed that it was difficult to function.”
