Vaillant ground source heat pump case study: The Meaden Project (full edit)
Emma and Richard Meaden's home renovation project - affectionately known as the Meaden Project - saw the installation of a Vaillant geoTHERM exclusive 8kW ground source heat pump to meet all the couple's heating and hot water demands via renewable energy sources, while keeping their ongoing energy bills to an absolute minimum.
This full-length case study film captures the install, from the very first site visit to begin the ground works, all the way through to the heat pump being commissioned and turned on for the first time. It also explains the financial and fuel savings anticipated and how the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) will see the Meadens receive payments in excess of £18,000 over the next seven years.
The install team talk through the installation, explaining each step and providing some useful insights for anyone considering a ground source heat pump for their own project. And Emma Meaden also talks about the project from her own perspective, including her rationale for specifying Vaillant and a ground source heat pump.
