82nd Airborne 505th troopers on Patrol - June 1944 Near the Merderet River, Normandy.

After 72 years the 82nd Airborne 505th return to Quorn, Leicestershire. Quorn was the home of the 505th before they jumped into Normandy. Quorn Camp was established on the grounds of Quorn House during World War II and hosted 505th Parachute Infantry Regiment.

Between 2nd - 5th of the June the 505th RCT make Quorn it''s home to celebrate and keep the memory of the 505th alive during the Great Central Railway's 40's weekend.

505th RCT is one of the UK's largest 82nd Airborne groups that specialises in battle re-enactments. The 505th RCT strives to bring the history and the memory of the unit alive and well.
