Hoop Ear Wires

Details: Learn how to make these simple but elegant ear wires. With a slight detail which will add to any of your designs.

Here’s what you will need:
0.9mm/19AWG copper plated wire
2 x 3mm beads
0.4mm/26 awg wire

Wire Gauge???
Yes! I mostly use UK terms, as I’m from the U.K 🇬🇧. I do try to include US Terms but in case I miss them here they are 😊 Thank you 😊
0.25mm - 30 AWG
0.4mm - 26 AWG
0.6mm - 22 AWG
0.8mm - 20 AWG
0.9mm - 19 AWG
1mm - 18 AWG
1.25mm - 16 AWG
1.5mm - 14 AWG
2mm - 12 AWG

Tools used:
Flush cutters
Chain nose pliers
6 step bail making pliers or Round nose pliers
A mandrel, round, as 2cm diameter

Techniques used:
Ear wire forming
Hammering for workhardening
Hand coiling
