How to Clean a Honda/Acura IAC (Idle Air Control Valve)

It's not necessary to disconnect the coolant lights and connector. DO NOT flood the IAC with carb cleaner. These can easily be damaged so watch out. It's probably best to spray cleaner on a clean rag, then wipe the soot off of the Valve ports. Be sure to disconnect the battery before cleaning.
