Telephone Operator Training Video Rockland Telephone Museum 03-31-2018

This is a video shot at the end of one of our afternoon training session we hosted at the Rockland Telephone History Center, back on 03-31-2018, in preparation of the grand opening of the museum on 04-14-2018.

The three operators in this video are Cynda Childs, Ron McClellen and Robin Fox. They did really well and had a lot of fun connection test calls at the end of their training. It was a lot of work and a lot of laughter in the process!

We are looking for operators who would enjoy the opportunity of learning this lost art of connecting calls by hand, which was how all phones were connected originally, before the invention of the automatic dial switch.
