Use the Roland SPD-SX on a Gig for the First Time

We've got our shiny new Sample Pad (like the Roland SPD-SX, for example), but how do we now start using it on our gigs?

Today we're looking at how to start implementing the Roland SPD-SX sample pad (or a different sample pad for that matter!) onto a standard function gig.
