This was an interesting photography assignment. I was asked by John Haswell to create a picture for the 2019 Calendar being produced for the amazing charity "4Louis"

John Haswell created a fantastic FaceBook group called "Landscape Photography on YouTube UK" In less than a year, his FB group has just gained 3.7K followers. It's an unbelievable achievement.

Due to its popularity, John offered to create a calendar for the charity "4LOUIS" He decided to hold competitions for all but the month of October on his FB group. The winner of each category would gain a place in the calendar. I was honoured to have been selected by the group to create a bespoke picture as requested by the charity.

This was their brief...
1) Photograph the Penshaw Monument
2) It must be Landscape Orientation
3) It must be at night
4) it must show the pink and blue lights cast on the monument.

What a challenge. If you watch the video you'll see what happens when things don't go to plan. It just goes to show that all the best-laid plans and that...
