Epic Light Catbells + Lodore Falls Lake District

In this video, I travelled to the Lake District National Park to Photograph the incredible Catbells and Lodore Falls.

Last week, I travelled to the Lake District to photograph Catbells at Sunrise and later in the day photograph another area of the Lakes I had never been to, Lodore Falls. Both locations were excellent in their own way!

It was an early, dark and very cold start to the day. Most of the paths were covered in compacted snow that had nestled on top of the ice. To say the walk-up was a little dangerous was an understatement. I think Paul Compton who I was camped next to for the night without either of us realising it had the best idea, he donned his crampons. Great idea Paul!

Anyways, we soldiered on and walked up to the point where Tony and I had wanted to reach. It wasn't the summit. We thought the light was going to be epic so we decided to photograph looking up at Cat Bells and not from the top of Cat Bells looking down. For once Tony and I got it bang-on!
The light was indeed epic and the resulting images were all printers!

Lodore Falls - I had never been to this waterfall before but so glad I did. It was a fantastic climax to the day. Whilst the falls itself proved a challenge, again, I think the resulting images were pretty decent.
