The tailgate is finished and has turned out amazing. Now, let's meet with Mark as he and Chris, a Master Carpenter, discuss everything that went into finishing of this Custom Truck Bed.

Watching this video really makes one appreciate all of the planning that goes into such a custom project. All of the measurements for the truck bed needed to be extremely precise, especially when taking into account the expansion and contraction of the White Oak due to environmental factors, as well as the utilization of the Stainless Steel Strips that will be dividing the oak planks.

The preparation for the Custom Running Boards was very impressive as well. Creating a template for both the right and left sides and applying it to the lumber in order to make accurate cuts was a very detailed and precise job.
