'Saturday Night Out' on FAB FM Demonstration
This video is a demonstration of how my new programme is to sound: titled 'Saturday Night Out' and with the tag line: 'Extended Mixes of Your Favourite Music' - it'll be starting with a New Years Eve [2015] special at ten 'til midnight [UK] then it'll be on each and every Saturday evening at 18:00 hrs. [UK] time on the on-line radio station FAB FM.
In the early 1990's I produced the radio shows: 'The Mercia Mix' [Mercia FM] in the Coventry area also 'The Power Mix' [Leicester Sopund FM] in Leicestershire here in the UK.
For the many of at that 'certain' age, you'll remember that in the good ‘ol days of 12” and cd singles where differing versions of the master track were included on the 'B' side of said record, so for example there would be an instrumental or dub version. well I edited these 'alternative' mixes together with the original track resulting in unique extended versions,
'Saturday Night Out' is a non-presenter led show which ran the early 1990’s for over two and a half years and was very successful so I’m hoping to replicate this on the internet station FAB FM.
The music tracks played are anywhere between 5 and 25 minutes long, it's non-stop music - commercial free and covers a whole variety of artists and ranges from the early 1970's through the decades to more recent times.
I do hope you can give it a try at some point.
Many thanks
Kevin Sykes - Saturday Night Out producer
