Happy 40th anniversary to an album that doesn’t get any respect, Sports by Huey Lewis and the News. From its infamous skewering in American Psycho to countless jokes about the lack of rock and roll in The Heart of Rock and Roll, it’s long been the butt of jokes. But dangit, even Robert Christgau admitted it was a fun record.

It’s time to stop the hate and embrace Sports once and for all.
