Prof. Ahmed Samatar, Founding Dean of the Institute for Global Citizenship, Macalester College, Minnesota, USA who worked closely with Dr. Tanzania and Prof. Abdi Samatar, Professor of Geography at the University of Minnesota, andauthor of many books including the recently published Africa's First Democrats. They are joined by Dr. Laura Hammond, senior lecturer at SOAS who has been collecting research on conflict and food security, migration, and Diaspora in and from the Horn of Africa since the early 1990s.
