The Easiest Way to SNOWBALL Your Economy in Stellaris 4.2
Hey Commander!! This build is going to get obliterated with nerfs once 4.3 drops, so enjoy while you can! In this video we start our new challenge against the 1000x Crisis. To match this insanity, we're going with the strongest machine build out there for early game snowball and late-game scaling. This build, on top of it's crazy tech output, allows us to have the best weapons in the game and a massive alloy production from our telepaths + Animator of Clay.
Now regarding the build:
Origin:
Shroud-Forged - This is the core of our build. It gives us Shourd Pops that have consumer goods upkeep, generate more crime, but have 25% more job efficiency from complex drones (and -25% from worker drones). We start with a situation that at the end, if we decide to support the Animator of Clay, we gain 50% progress into Psionic Theory technology and a lot of other bonuses, greatly speeding up our ascension. It's very very good.
Government:
Machine Intelligence - Not much to say here. It's a characteristic of our build.
Ethics:
Gestalt Consciousness - Same. We must be this in order to be a Machine Intelligence.
Civics:
Galvanic Retrofitting - One of the best civics from the Infernals DLC. We start with the Living Metal technology unlocked, a base production of Living Metal and our metallurgists also produce this resource. On top of that, we gain access to two powerful edicts to increase our pop growth and generate more living metal, we gain a planetary decision that reduces job upkeep by -20%, we have access to the best kinetic artillery and best armor in the game... It's really OP. The only downside is that we can't reform out of it if we so desire at some point.
Constructobot - Great early-game civic to speed up our planetary development, later on we definitely want to change this for something better - either economy-wise or military-wise
Traits:
Adaptive Frames - No-brainer. You grab this and get the traits corresponding to the job your pop is working. Very good, kinda expensive but it's worth it.
Sociology Core - Interesting decision based on improving our Observator Drones (which are from the sociology group). They are our source of tech output in the early game.
High Bandwith - We can just remove this later on, no issues. Empire size from pops doesn't hurt that much early game.
Bulky - A free pick for machines. We don't have logistic growth, so there's no downside in having low housing, just stay positive and we're fine.
Ruler:
Scientist - Spark of Genius - Good to speed up our tech and, since we can't change leaders like individualistic empires, this is the optimal decision for late-game scaling.
