Tank Battles of WW2 - The Battle of Herrlisheim and the Destruction of a Tank Battalion

In the afternoon of the 17th of January 1945, in the Alsatian village of Herrlisheim, SS-Obersturmführer Erwin Bachmann and two Panther tanks attacked the American 43rd Tank Battalion. In quick succession multiple Sherman tanks were destroyed and after a hellish fighting, the 43rd Tank Battalion would cease to exist.
