The Battle of Trois-Ponts 1944 | A bridgehead in the Ardennes

The Battle of Trois-Ponts is one of those battles which has become forgotten over the larger battles during the Battle of the Bulge. None the less it was a very interesting battle between members of the American 82nd Airborne Division and the German 1st SS Panzer Division. The now peaceful forests on the heights east of Trois-Ponts were once the scene of severe fighting during the Battle of the Bulge.
