Kiss of Death | Re:Zero Season 2 Episode 11 Review/Analysis

Natsuki Subaru spends another day in paradise, and Re:Zero's difficulty increases. Where is Reinhard when we need him?

Here's my review of Re:Zero Season 2 Episode 11, AKA Re:Zero Episode 36.

Beatrice reveals that she's been contracted by Echidna, the Witch of Greed. Her purpose for existing is to sit in the library and wait for "that person" to kill her. Subaru refuses to kill her, but Elsa doesn't have any qualms. After escaping the Roswaal Mansion, Subaru and Beatrice run into Maylie (Meili), an evil loli with the power to control Mabeasts (Demon Beasts). Beatrice kills Elsa, and then Elsa kills Beatrice. Subaru teleports back to the Sanctuary, where he finds Emilia, who's gone full yandere. Without Puck, Emilia has completely lost her mind, to the extent that she confesses her "love" to Subaru. Roswaal kills Ram and Garfiel and then feeds himself to The Great Rabbit, forcing Subaru to use Return by Death. Emilia kisses Subaru as he bleeds to death in her lap. Natsuki Subaru's first kiss was the cold Taste of Death.

Who will pose the biggest threat to Subaru in Arc 4/Season 2 of Re:Zero? Is it Elsa, the Bowel Hunter? Maylie? Emilia? Roswaal? Beatrice? Garfiel? The Great Rabbit? Echidna? Satella?
