Here it is at last! I promised and I delivered, for you!!!
Japanese Karaage!!!
Ingredients:
3 boneless chichken thighs
300g corn or potato starch
1ltr of oil canola or veg (NOT OLIVE OIL)
3 TBSP soy sauce
1 tbsp of freshly squeezed ginger juice (watch video)
ziplock bag
To serve:
lettuce
tomato
rice
Japanese mayo (kewpie) or your country's mayo
Important notes:
When oil is at 180 degrees C put in 5-6 pieces of chicken for ONE minute, then take out and rest for 30 seconds, put in oil again for 30 seconds and then out for 30 seconds and again in for 30 seconds, and then rest while another batch is cooking.
You can use a thermometer if you want for chicken temp but usually it's bang on. Internal temp of cooked chicken is 74 degrees C
