Week 7 Resource Guarding

Puppies get pretty excited to have a raw treat. We want to create a conditioned emotional response to food being approached. We swap the frozen fish for a chunk of venison, then return the fish. This helps reduce the initial response to bite a person should they need to take an item away the puppy shouldn't be chewing.

Attention fellow breeders: This is not a training video. This is a short clip to give our puppy families an idea of what we are doing on a weekly basis. Should you decide to implement this, follow the process taught in Puppy Culture. If not done properly, you could unintentionally add aggression to the situation or get bit.
