A poem a day 5 What tomorrow brings written and recited by Ben The Doonhamer

What Tomorrow Brings

It's only when faced with the prospect of death that the lonely planet learns to respect each breath
No one left to forget the past is just part of the process into the future the present feels no regret
Life finds a way and over millions of years I evolved into what I am today
I exist and once again this habitat is at risk
The never-ending bender learning to multiply and cry
It's the story of the housecat that sees a bird on TV for the first time and yet in its eye it's prey that must die
For some reason, men still scream and prey to the sky
I look to the sun and worship the stars in wonder
To step into a different world or just find a different surface to slip under
The world is different yet the same
We think differently but we have a similar brain
It doesn't need to be Halloween to wear a mask or costume
The sun retreats, darkness falls and now here we sit lit by the moon.
I bought myself a new phone and filmed a poem to test the camera which led to a poem a day. I'll try to do this for a full year.
