Is your briefcase fitted with a Panasonic HCX920 or HCX900 camera?
Allright! Then filming should be easy!
In this video we explain how the camera works.
Turn it on!
Usually, the camera automatically turns on when you open the LCD screen. If not, press the power button for three seconds.
Take pictures, record videos and view footage.
On top of the camera there is a small slide.
- The forward position is for taking pictures. But that’s not what we do.
- The middle position lets you record video and have access to the camera's menu!
- The backward position enables you to view your recordings.
The record function.
With the slide in the middel position you can record by pressing the record button once. On the LCD screen you can see the recording time. To stop, press the record button again once.
Automatic devices (IA)
Press the IA button, the IA symbol now appears on the screen and the camera automatically adjusts the light, color and sharpness settings.
Please note that on the HCX900 camera the IA - MANUAL button, also turns off the automatic settings. Make sure the IA icon is visible in the top left of your screen. Illustrating that the automatic settings are engaged.
Stabilized Filming (OIS)
The OIS function helps to reduce shaking of the camera when shooting without a tripod. Always use this feature! Press the OIS button so the icon with the hand and arrows appears on the screen.
Please note that on the HCX900 camera the OIS button is positioned next to the IA/ Manual button.
Zoom function
To get closer to your subject, you can use the zoom function. You do this by pushing to the right with the zoom button.
Now you know how the camera works.
You see? It’s easy as 1, 2, 3!
