GREEN BOOK Movie Review | OSCARS 2019 Best Picture

Winner of the People’s Choice Award at the 2018 Toronto Film Festival, GREEN BOOK tells the true story of a working-class Italian American from the Bronx, Tony Lip (played by Viggo Mortensen), as he becomes the driver for a classical African-American pianist in the 1960s. While on tour through the American South, Tony and the musician, Dr. Shirley (played by Mahershala Ali) are faced with conflicting viewpoints and beliefs as they work together to get to Shirley’s next venue on time.
