By 2025, the agency predicts as many as 10-20 new therapies may be approved for clinical use each year. Many discoveries are now in or moving toward therapeutic applications and being tested in early phase clinical trials. Which treatments are holding the most promise? What are the challenges or concerns in translating scientific discoveries to therapeutic applications in patients?
