I recently purchased an AKAI MPC2000XL, and after reading the manual and watching a ton of tutorials, i decided to document the process of making my first beat on the MPC2000XL. It started out with listening to vinyl, picking parts of the record to sample, loading up the zip drive, placing a drum groove, and then finally adding the sampled chops. I also added a live bass guitar and some additional elements via Ableton to make the beat have more variety. I'll be uploading more videos with hardware on this channel.
