In this video, I'm making a boom bap beat in the style of Griselda (Benny The Butcher, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine) that has a dark and gritty feeling by pitching down samples. I break down the way to program the pitches of various parts of the sample to create your own melody while only using 3 seconds or so of a sample. This enables you to sample really intricate parts of records instead of trying to find full loops.
