The EASIEST Way To Make Tamales | RAJAS CON QUESO TAMALES

Hello my beautiful fam! Welcome back to my kitchen first of all I want to thank you for being part of our family, and allowing me to be part of yours!!!! today I’m going to share with you how to make the easiest and most delicious tamales de queso con Rajas! My Favorite!! There is two ways we make them, one using chile poblano mix with a delicious spicy tomato salsa, and the other one with just pickled jalapeños (this is what we do when we make regular meat tamales and we have leftover masa😅) both are super delicious and let’s not forget how easy they are to make, I prefer making this ones because we don’t have to wait hours for any meat 😅 we know that’s what takes the most time while making tamales☺️ keep in mind like every recipe and every household there are tons of variations that make this delicious recipe, you can always adjust it to your taste, I really hope you enjoy it as much as me and my family do, and as always if you do please don’t forget to give me a big thumbs up, comment down below your thoughts and if you new to my channel please hit that subscribe buttons so you can be part of our family!!!!!!

What can go wrong???
Not soaking the corn husks long enough can cause the masa not to stick, soak for at least 2 hours 😉
Spreading the masa on the rough side of the corn husk can cause for your masa to stick and makes it difficult to remove from the corn husk make sure you spread on soft side 😊
Not adding enough liquid can cause your masa to not spread easily, test your masa by adding a little ball to glass of water, if masa floats, then it’s ready to be used!!!

‼️‼️Tip!!! Make sure your masa sets before eating 😉

Ingredients: depending on how much masa and filling you use for each tamal, it will depend on how many tamales you get, I got around 35 tamales 🤩
6 cups Maseca for tamal
1 1/2 cup lard or vegetable shortening
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp salt
4 cup chicken broth/ water
3/4- 1 cup jalapeños juice
16 oz corn husks
Filling:
Pickled jalapeños
30 oz cheese, I used Oaxaca, Monterey Jack is another one I like to use 😊
8 poblano peppers
2 large tomatoes
2 Roma tomatoes
4 serrano peppers
1/2 onion sliced
2 garlic cloves
1/4 cumin
1 tbsp bouillon
1 serving of love 💕
