Grow With GoGo: Functional Fitness May 13, 2026 | Senior Strength Training | GoGoGrandparent

This Functional Fitness class for seniors and beginners is a safe, mostly standing workout designed to build strength, balance, and confidence—no floor work needed. Using a sturdy chair, optional light weights, or just bodyweight, Aedra guides you through low-impact exercises with clear form cues and easy modifications. You’ll practice shoulder rolls, balance drills, heel raises, squats, bicep curls with overhead presses, lunges, and gentle stretches to support stronger muscles and steadier everyday movement.

This week’s Move of the Week is squats. Practice them gently during the week—like sitting down and standing up from a chair—to build leg strength, improve balance, and support daily activities.

What you’ll practice
• Lower-body strength with squats, lunges, and heel raises
• Upper-body strength with bicep curls and overhead presses
• Balance work with chair support and simple modifications
• Gentle stretching to cool down and improve mobility
