0:00and love my beautiful and courageous friends it's natalie here and I'm here
0:04today with Nora get countess who is a board certified nutritional consultant
0:09and a neuro-feedback specialists from Portland Oregon when the waves que
0:15estaba wage by myself
0:20when the wind and I don't know
0:33injury how does it affect us simply don't have enough water for the second
0:47most abundant nutrient in the brain aside from that is water and we need
0:52water for all kinds of electrical conductance the brain is a vital organ
0:56so we need water and we need electrolytes in order to basically
1:01operate the electrical system in the brain so it's very important in in which
1:07also for his avoiding things that cause our brain to dehydrate it's a common
1:13source actually a lot of symptoms in a dehydration that is one of the easiest
1:18and cheapest fixes in the world by being properly hydrated you can avert a lot of
1:23issues like like the team again
1:28and cognitive dysfunction that are associated with the hydration it's just
1:33a good thing to do
1:34well usually what I say is what a rule of thought I mean you know if we're
1:41looking at this sort of thing from an evolutionary perspective but that said
1:48they also much less toxic
1:51we have a lot more stuff our body best process and then you know the rest
2:00should never would have even had nightmares and so I think better
2:06hydration and we also have a lot more things the hydrating us a lot of people
2:10people can create things that add further to the loss of water and so what
2:17I generally recommend is is take your body weight you know divide that in half
2:24and that's roughly the amount of water to kind of shoot for in a day and if
2:34you're drinking dehydrating beverages like caffeine or alcohol
2:39things believe it or not creating them then you might have to add some extra
2:46water to do that and if you're exercising obviously are you working out
2:51in the hot Sun interview
2:53that it becomes more important obviously you're traveling on planes or whatever
3:00to to compensate a little extra that
