A huge step in our off grid dreams, we now have our wood cook stove installed and working! Audrey and I spent a lot of time thinking about what type of cookstove to buy. For the longest time my heart was set on finding an old reliable cookstove from the good old days. I found that it is really hard to find one that isn't rusted out, or beat up, or too much money. In all the searching we found this beautiful stove from La Nordica. It is compact (great for our little space) and very efficient and for $2000 we felt that we could give it a go. Now we have a heat source and a way to cook our food that is sustainable on our little homestead. One more big step toward being self sufficient.
