Wildebeests cross river only to be welcomed by a Male lion

Lions are not picky eaters. They are opportunistic hunters and will eat any nearby animal if they're hungry enough. They'll eat anything from birds (including ostriches) to whale carcasses that wash up on Africa's beaches. In this sighting the male lion knows that this might be an easy opportunity to get a free meal because the wildebeests are crossing a river and will be slow and full of chaos. fortunately for the wildebeests the water level was too low for them to be slow and they successfully escaped.
