THE HISTORY
As Ritual Device, the band joined the indie scene in 1990 playing their first show with the Rollins Band and Jesus Lizard. Next came the many regional tours and recordings for singles and compilation albums. In 1993 Ritual Device paid a visit to Steve Albini’s home studio to record the would be debut album, “Henge”. Produced by David Wm. Sims, tour support included east and west coast dates as well as South by Southwest and Lollapalooza gigs. Henge sold over 10,000 units independent.
Graduating from the Device, Ravine uses creative impulses that guarantee to pull you in with a healthy dose of lashings on the side. Ravine: Throbbing melodic bass, intricate tribal-like drums and slabs of abrasive and sometimes unsettling guitars.

Since their MMRF appearance Ravine has shared the stage with such credible acts as 7 Year Bitch, the Jesus Lizard, Prong, Stanford Prison Experiment, Season to Risk, Craw, the Dwarves, Misfits, Firewater, Branch Manager, Kimball/Roeser Effect, the Rachels, Shiner, Tanger, Sludgeplow, Barbero, Throttle Rod, etc.-Catch ‘em on tour late Spring.
