C. 1991-93 Ritual Device frequented Steve Albini’s home studio to record the would be debut album, “Henge”. Produced by David Wm. Sims, tour support included east and west coast dates as well as South by Southwest and Lollapalooza.
CBGB's, 9:30 Club, Raji's, Emo's, John Henry's, Satyricon, The Cashbah, Brownies...sharing the stage with Hammerhead, Helmet, Skinyard, Beat Happening, Fugazi, Helios Creed, Seaweed, Tar, L7, 7 Year Bitch, Offspring, Tool, Jawbox, Cop Shoot Cop, Coffin Break, Love Battery, Sunspring, Rodan, Unrest, Paw, Don Cabellero, Puck, Tripping Daisy, Zeni Geva, Shorty, Lunachicks, Bile, Dig, Keypone, Vic Chessnutt, Royal Trux, Jesus Lizard, Liquor Bike, Ed Hall, Killdozer, Rancid, Pegboy, Chokebore, et al.
The band was gaining steam around the US. Henge sold good copies worldwide, notably in the US & UK. Many singles were subsequently released as well as the Trade Mark of Quality live album. This was capped off by a split with Killdozer on Man's Ruin. In 1995/96 the power trio of Cotton/Ebers/Saklar went on to form Ravine. Moss went on to form the Men of Porn.
Upon building a fresh collection of sonic stories and a couple of demo sessions Ravine hit the road touring the east coast on numerous occasions. Since their MMRF appearance Ravine has shared the stage with such acts as 7 Year Bitch, the Jesus Lizard, Prong, Stanford Prison Experiment, Guzzard, Season to Risk, the Dwarves, Firewater, Today is the Day, Misfits, Branch Manager, the Rachels, etc."
