Russia Tests Orion UAV To Shoot Down Drones In Crimea l Why This Is A Clear Message To Ukraine

As tensions over Ukraine mount, Russia is making moves that re-establishes the fear of invasion everyday. After deploying air-defence system, Russia is testing its Orion unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) in a ‘drone-killer’ role. The Russian Ministry of Defence released the first video of UAV 'Orion' hitting an aerial target in Crimea. Russian military officials claim the the Orion drone can shoot down the Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 and other UAVs. It is important to note that the TB2 has recently been operated in combat by Ukraine. Russia specifying that the Orion can shoot down TB2 drones is sending a clear message to Ukraine.
