Mishap, before and after
A then and now look at BTF's 1958 staff information film, 'Mishap'. This was filmed on a section of the old MSWJR line between Cheltenham and Andoversford Jnc, which closed in 1962 and was removed by the mid 60's. In the film, the made up station name 'Aybury' was in fact Cheltenham Leckhampton and 'Beaton' is Andoversford Jnc. Most of the film was shot at or between these two locations but Chelt Malvern Rd engine shed features, (the shed still surviving as part of Travis Perkins), Hatherley loop and most notably, extremely rare brief exteria shots of both Gloucester stations- Eastgate, now an Asda and Central, rebuilt in 1976.
