On this special episode we will be looking at some fun, bizarre and shocking media that (as of today) has never been released to the public. As part of a new series- Dark and Disturbing Lost Media We will Never See- we aim to investigate certain pieces of audio, photographic and video evidence, which was considered to be too disturbing to release or that has been destroyed due to its mysterious (or graphic) content.

We have all heard of the term 'Lost Media'; information or interactive productions, publications or broadcasts that have disappeared into the ether or have been demoted to certain vaults of the internet. In today's online landscape there are numerous archival websites, whose purpose is to gather, store and release content which one may consider nostalgic, fun or simply worth holding onto. Then there is the dark web; a sinister network of 'backdoor' websites that specialise in all sorts of weird, disgusting and illegal activities – from hitmen and firearms to….well, I'm sure you can guess.

In any case, the world of lost media is certainly something that deserves our attention; whether it is to track, trace and apprehend these online predators and criminals before they commit more crimes - or simply to explore the more fun and interesting side of the internet. So, hit those lights folks; it's time to go down the rabbit hole and get lost in the world of Lost Media….
