Here is a medley of 8 songs from Richard & Karen Carpenters' A&M album, Now And Then, released on May 16, 1973. Richard describes how this came about. "Karen and I introduced an oldies medley into our concert show starting in the summer of 1972, and it met with such an enthusiastic response, I decided to feature a version of it on side two of what would become "Now And Then". (Guitarist) Tony Peluso guests as a "D.J." and the medley was constructed as a Top 40 radio program." Personnel on the album are Richard and Karen Carpenter -- Vocals, Richard Carpenter -- Keyboards, Joe Osborn -- Bass, Karen Carpenter -- Drums, Bob Messenger - Flute & Tenor Sax, Doug Strawn - Baritone Saxophone, Tom Scott -- Recorder, Tony Peluso - Lead Guitar, Gary Sims- Guitar, Buddy Emmons & Jay Dee Maness - Steel Guitar, & Earl Dumler - Oboe & Bass Oboe-English Horn. The songs included are "Fun, Fun, Fun" written by Brian Wilson & Mike Love, "The End of the World" by Arthur Kent& Sylvia Dee, "Da Doo Ron Ron (When He Walked Me Home)" by Ellie Greenwich, Jeff Barry, & Phil Spector, "Dead Man's Curve" by Jan Berry, Roger Christian, Brian Wilson, & Artie Kornfeld, "Johnny Angel" by Lyn Duddy & Lee Pockriss, "The Night Has a Thousand Eyes" by Benjamin Weisman, Dorothy Wayne, & Marilynn Garrett, "Our Day Will Come" by Bob Hilliard& Mort Garson, and "One Fine Day" by Carole King & Gerry Goffin.
