Linda Ronstadt's fine cover of Jackson Browne's "Rock Me On the Water" is from Linda Ronstadt, the eponymous album by Linda Ronstadt, released in January 1972 on Capitol Records, her third Capitol album after the breakup of the Stone Poneys, demonstrating the further development of her country-rock style. The album is notable because of backing by Don Henley, Glenn Frey, Randy Meisner, and Bernie Leadon, before they formed the Eagles. The album is available on CD on Capitol.
