French Quarter Hour Repeating Carriage Clock

This is a French quarter hour repeating carriage clock with an alarm function. It has the option of either striking only on the hour or every quarter hour and hour. It is gilded gold with engraving. It is amazing to see the attention to detail and precision manufacturing for an early carriage clock. The rear plate is initialed P.G.S. This is an oval shaped beauty and I believe it is from circa 1860-1890.
