Multiwood box joint box

This was another test box where I experimented with making thin sides and a different style of lid and bottom. The lid has strips of walnut and maghogany along with oak, the body and bottom trim are oak, and the bottom inset piece I believe may be poplar. All the wood was either from scraps, pieces of oak pallet, or pieces salvaged from dresser drawers.

I used the triple thick polyurethene on it and that came out nice.

The box joints were made on my modified Rockler XL box joint jig.
