NYC Rad Human Knits Winter Clothing For Homeless LGBTQ Youth
New Yorker and Rad Human Austin Rivers has combined his compassion for LGTBQ+ youth and his passion for knitting in his organization Knit The Rainbow. With the help of hundreds of volunteers across the country, KtR has distributed over 4,000 hand-knitted garments to queer and trans homeless youth across NYC. Andy in the audience shares their personal experience receiving resources from the project, and Kelly surprises Austin with $5,000 to help achieve his goal of expanding his craft-ivism nationwide.
