Stars From The Nanny You Didn't Know Died

Over its six-season run on CBS in the 1990s, "The Nanny" chiefly served as a showcase for actress and comedian Fran Drescher, whose loud outfits and personality clashed with the uptight Sheffield family's mannered ways. At least partially based on Drescher's real life, the show was New York through and through.

As such, the series featured a number of guest stars from the world of Broadway and off-Broadway theatre, as well as from the New York comedy scene. Plus, Ray Charles was a frequent guest.
