Gout | Causes, Pathophysiology, Risk Factors, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment
Gout is a crystal inflammatory monoarthropathy caused by deposition of monosodium urate crystals into joints and other areas of the body. In this lesson, we discuss the pathophysiology as to how crystals are formed and how inflammation occurs in gout. We also discuss many risk factors for getting gout, triggers of gout flares, signs & symptoms, how gout is diagnosed and how it is treated.
