The Morning Cup - Be an observer of your thoughts
Our brains are designed to think. However, all of our thoughts are certainly not true. Practice observing and evaluating the quality and trustworthiness of the thoughts that float through your head. Incorporating some sort of daily mindfulness practice will help build this skill. I was amused at times and shocked at times when I really started observing all the different kinds of crazy my mind was able to manufacture! Research shows we have between 50,000 - 70,000 thoughts per day. No wonder we need to sharpen our inner leadership skills to direct our inner traffic. This key component of inner leadership will lead to less anxiety, better decision making, and a greater sense of well-being. Be the observer, not the reactor.
