PARTAS - Personalizable, Augmented Reality-based Worker Assistance
PARTAS is a practice-oriented and lightweight approach for a mobile, camera/projector-based worker assistance system, particularly designed to be adaptable for people with different cognitive disablities, strengths and preferences.
The video shows how PARTAS can be used to implement an interactive, digital counting aid for assisting people with limited understanding of numbers or memory capacity in conducting a packaging task. The system was developed and evaluated together with Lebenshilfe Obere Saar e.V. (https://lebenshilfe-obere-saar.org/), a sheltered workshop in South-West Germany, where a very high acceptance on the part of both, the disabled employees and the supervisors, could be determined.
