Another day, another PAM Transport Settlement! | Trucking Answers

PAM Transport has settled yet another case involving minimum wage, escrow accounts and the amount that is deducted as a fee for payroll advances. PAM Transport admits no wrongdoing and has not been found guilty of anything by a court of law. It is alleged that PAM Transport tells drivers they must be in proximity to their trucks unless on home time and that causes drivers to be paid less than minimum wage. I think this should be logged as on-duty time per the FMCSA. Also, drivers allege that PAM Transport from Arkansas charges more than 10% per annum for payroll advances in opposition to state law. Furthermore, it is alleged that PAM Transport withholds $25 per week until an escrow of $500 is accumulated so these charges can be paid. PAM says they will no longer withhold for an escrow or charge for payroll advances. What do you think? In my humble opinion no one should go work for PAM Transport or ever talk to anyone from Driver Solutions which is really just a funnel to PAM Trucking. Let's talk about this!
