Tudor Black Bay 58 925 Silver: The Tarnishing Has Started After One Month??

The Tudor Black Bay 58 925 was released about a month ago and it immediately polarized the watch world. Many people preferred keeping the vintage BB58 line only in steel, however, many others welcomed Tudor’s daring move to introduce a classic diver in silver. This bold move is very much in line with Tudor’s ethos which is very different from the soul and feel of the more conservative bigger brother, Rolex.

The advantages of silver include a warm and bright white color (especially with the fully brushed case), and additional heft to make the watch feel more special. However, silver’s main disadvantage is the fact that it oxidizes and tarnishes. Tarnishing is still one of the biggest concerns about the 925 and for good reason. Tudor said that it created a brand new alloy to fend off tarnishing, but the results are something only time could provide.

I have owned the 925 for exactly one month and it seems like the tarnishing has indeed begun. I thought that the tarnishing would begin much later and I was not expecting to make a video about the progression of the tarnishing so soon. Join me as I take a look at how the tarnish looks and what my thoughts are on the watch now that the tarnishing process has started.
