The Female Quotient Panel - How We'll Win
Topic: How We’ll Win: The Creators
In 2017, female founders received just 2.2% of venture capital dollars. But funding is just one piece of the founder puzzle: there’s creative inspiration, confidence to build something new, network, and execution.
In this panel, we met with an array of female founders (including Quiver.tv's own Kelsey Irvine) innovating in tech, media, and workplace experience, and discuss where they get their inspiration from, what advice they have for aspiring female founders, their thoughts on what’s keeping women out of the founder landscape, and what resources are out there to support women starting their own projects.
“The Creators” is a part of How We’ll Win, Quartz’s year-long exploration of the fight for gender equality. Through stories, videos, events, and a monthly email, Quartz highlights insights and strategies for supporting inclusivity, women in power, and the next generation of leaders.
Panelists:
- Joy Robins, Chief Revenue Officer, Quartz (Moderator)
- Kelsey Irvine, Founder, Violet Media and Executive Producer, Quiver
- Audrey Wu, Co-Founder and CEO, CONVRG
- Sarah Dubbeldam, Founder and CEO, Darling Media
- Amy Nelson, Founder and CEO, The Riveter
- Clara de Soto, Co-founder, Reply.ai
